Join the Davis Waldorf School on Saturday, April 25, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for its Annual Benefit Auction, taking place at 3100 Sycamore Lane in Davis.

The event brings together educators, families, and community members for an evening of celebration, dining, and fundraising in support of the school’s continued growth. All proceeds will benefit campus expansion efforts, including the recent two-acre property acquisition and capital improvements designed to enhance agricultural and hands-on learning programs for students.

This year’s “Solid Gold” theme celebrates the spirit of the 1970s, with guests invited to dress in disco glam. Think sequins, satin, and gold attire.

“The auction is one of the clearest expressions of our community’s generosity,” said Rachel Hilbert, Director of Community Development at Davis Waldorf School. “A night filled with joy, shared purpose, and real support for the life of the school.”

Community members from Davis and surrounding areas are invited to attend in person or participate in the online silent auction, which runs from Wednesday, April 15 through Saturday, April 25.

The auction features a wide range of offerings, including student-created projects such as a handmade Hungry Caterpillar felt storytelling set from the Kindergarten class, along with experiential items like djembe drumming, sourdough baking, and beekeeping workshops. Additional highlights include travel opportunities, sports memorabilia, and Golden 1 Center packages paired with wine, chocolates, and luxury hotel stays. The auction also showcases strong support from local businesses and community partners across Davis, Winters, Sacramento, Roseville, Woodland, Vacaville, and beyond.

The live auction will be led by Steve Godfryd of Pacific Auction Company, a Davis-based professional and one of Northern California’s most experienced charity auctioneers.

Fund-a-Need: Capital Improvements and Agricultural Expansion

During the live program, guests will have the opportunity to support the school’s agricultural education expansion through the Fund-a-Need initiative, with a goal of raising $30,000. The school recently acquired two adjacent acres featuring a greenhouse, orchard, and gardens to expand hands-on learning opportunities for its 225 students from preschool through eighth grade.

Community Support

The event is made possible through the generous support of community sponsors, including Davis Waldorf School families and local businesses such as Corner Drug Co., The Pleasant Pheasant Bookstore, The Californian Assisted Living & Dementia Care, The Good Home Group, Ray Taber Foundation, First Northern Bank, Fit House, Beatrice Akers Osteopathy, Greenhaven Pediatric Dentistry, Yoga Yolo, Blake’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Fit4Mom, RB Cope Contractors, Inc., A Grand Affair, Simply Satisfied Catering, and Consumers Guide.
