California Duck Days In Davis: Circle The Calendar

DAVIS, CA – Celebrate the magnificent duck-migration time of year at the California Duck Days Festival Saturday, Feb. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Yolo Basin Foundation, 45211 County Rd 32B, E. Chiles Road in Davis.
This annual event takes place in the heart of the Pacific Flyway and features a wide variety of field trips, workshops, and activities for people of all ages. The day, according to organizers, will offer local tours about waterfowl, raptors, rice farming and more.
On-site activities include such family-friendly activities as holding ducklings, dipping for insects in the pond, fishing for trout, dissecting owl pellets, learning about waterfowl, building duck boxes, making Tule duck decoys and seeing a bird dog in action.
