This year the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center’s annual Children’s Environmental Science Day will be hosted on Sunday, August 2 at Common’s Beach in Tahoe City.
We will have a carnival-style science festival including 10 hands-on science activities and games. These activities will cover lake clarity and physics, lake level, water quality, water conservation, fish, invasive species, fire and forests, climate change, litter and recycling, and more, and will be facilitated by some of the Tahoe basin’s leading environmental organizations. Following Children’s Environmental Science Day will be a Mumbo Gumbo concert at the beach at 4 p.m., so bring your kids, friends, and prepare for some science fun!
