Concrete, curb and gutter work is finishing up this week near Pioneer Elementary and Birch Lane Elementary. Concrete forms on the new sidewalks will be pulled in the early morning of the first day of school on Aug. 25, and sidewalks will be usable on the morning of the first day.

There will be asphalt strips installed adjacent to the new curbs and gutters at both school locations that will be completed Thursday and Friday while students are in class in order to avoid morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times.
Striping at Lillard and Danbury near Marguerite Montgomery Elementary is scheduled to be complete today, Tuesday, Aug. 24. by the end of the day. A new ADA-compliant ramp will be installed in about a week at the southeast corner of Drummond and Lillard.
