City Of Davis: Covell Update 10.26 - Lanes Closed For Paving

The contractors finished spot repairs in the westbound #1 lane on Covell Blvd early this morning and will now be paving the westbound #2 lane today, Oct. 26, from F St to 113. Then, westbound lane #1 is scheduled to be paved tomorrow Wed., Oct. 27. 

The 113 North on ramp will be closed for few hours today; the 113 North off ramp will still be open today and tomorrow, but drivers will not be able to turn left onto Covell during the closure.  For those wanting to go west on Covell from the off ramp, the signed detour in place would be to go down to Catalina and then up to Alvarado. Drivers can then take Alvarado to either Anderson or Sycamore to reach westbound Covell. Russell to Lake Blvd is another possible path, but will not be signed as it is not the approved detour path. 

Follow-up striping work is scheduled to begin next week.
