5th St New Sewer Lift Station Project
K-rails (large concrete barriers) were installed on Fifth Street in the eastbound #1 lane just after L Street. This is a barrier needed for the demolition of the old sewer lift station located on the median. Day trench work  and paving will be performed this week with traffic control in place. There will always be one lane open in either direction. In a few weeks, there will be night work at 5th & L, and the City will be notifying nearby businesses and residents.
