City Of Davis: Pavement Improvement Update 9.8.21 - No Parking On F St On Th & F; Covell Corners Closed To Bikes & Peds

PAVEMENT IMPROVEMENT UPDATE 9.8.21 – CONCRETE WORK AT COVELL CORNERS AT ANDERSON, CATALINA AND SYCAMORE; REMINDER - NO PARKING ON F ST FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

•There is no parking on F Street on Thursday, 9/9, and Friday, 9/10 due to striping.

•Concrete work continues at both corners of Anderson & Covell and Catalina & Covell (north side of Covell). 

•Tomorrow, Thursday, 9/9, Sycamore & Covell concrete work (north side of Covell) will begin and run through Saturday, 9/11. 

This concrete work closes the crosswalks and bike paths at these intersections. The road for drivers remains open with some lane shifts and shoulder closures. 

Pedestrians and bicyclists heading west on Covell Blvd. will want to get on the bike path on F Street and go through Community Park or proceed to 14th Street depending on their destinations. 

For pedestrians or cyclists traveling from north of Covell Blvd to North Davis Elementary or Davis High School or any other schools, use Covell Park to use the overcrossing in Covell Park to connect to Community Park. Alvarado Ave. is also is a safe route to school to connection from Covell Park. 

If you are cycling east on Covell, this work is on the north side of the street and will not affect you.
