City of Davis Reminds Residents How to Dispose of Christmas Trees
Hint: It has to fit in your organics cart --- with lid closed. You may have to use the saw!

DAVIS, CA – News from the City of Davis:
Compost your tree after the holidays! Remove the lights, ornaments, tinsel and tree stand and place the tree in your organics cart (the lid must close). Smaller Christmas trees may fit in the organics cart as is. Larger trees may need to be cut in half or have the branches trimmed in order to fit into the cart.
Christmas trees can be placed on the street for collection with other yard materials no more than 5 days before a scheduled pick-up. The next scheduled yard material on-street pile pick-up will be the week of January 2.
