Createfest: A Summer Celebration of Youth and Art
A community art event that is teen-driven, bringing together young artists, public art, art-making activities, film, music, dance and food.

The third annual Createfest celebration marks the culmination of the four month intensive program called Teens Take Charge. The program gives teens the opportunity to meet practicing artists, tour studios and public art sites, create their own public art piece and display their artwork to the community at a fun, festive and art-filled event.
Createfest is a free community event that encourages the participation of young visual artists, filmmakers, performers and designers to display and sell their artwork. The event will feature a “maker fare” where artists can display and sell their artwork to the public. Come find some great art from up and coming artists and support your local art scene. Additionally, the event will feature a film festival, featuring shorts by local filmmakers.
The event will also feature musical performances by Audiowave and dance performances by the Pamela Trokanski dance company. Rock out to live music and enjoy food trucks, pizza and ice cream on a warm Davis night. There is something for all ages at Createfest. Art activities include a tape collage and chalk art murals, photo booth, mask and fan making, henna painting, and many more art interactives. Guests will enjoy an evening of food trucks, art, performance and fun.
