News from the Davis Police Department:Davis residents have reported being contacted at their homes by individuals claiming to be gathering donations for a Second Chance Football program, which they falsely claim is sponsored by the City of Davis. According to residents who are reporting this fraud, the suspects are only accepting cash or check donations, and were going door to door in neighborhoods. Residents should be aware that the City of Davis does not fund programs by sending solicitors door to door, and the does not sponsor football programs.
