A Dedication: Spring Concert of the Woodland Chamber Singers

The Woodland Chamber Singers, along with artistic director Lenore Turner-Heinson and accompanist Lori Jarvey, presents its spring concert, A Dedication, in two performances over Mother’s Day weekend at Pioneer High School in Woodland.

The program features songs devoted to both Mother’s Day, including Simple Gifts, arranged by Mark Hayes,  If Music Be The Food of Love by David Dickau;  and Nothin’ Gonna Stumble My Feet by Greg Gilpin and John Parker.  In a tribute to Memorial Day, inspiring selections include:  Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor  by Irving Berlin, Sing Your Way Home by Joseph Martin, and Anthem from Chess, arranged by John Purifoy.

As proud supporters of music education, the Chamber Singers will also highlight the talents of choral and band students from Woodland High School, under the direction of John Abigana, as well as a Woodland High graduate-turned-professional soloist.
