This event is hosted by FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered, the only national nonprofit dedicated to awareness, advocacy, research and support for those affected by hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. About one million Americans carry a cancer-causing gene that puts them at high-risk for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. Melanoma, prostate and pancreatic cancers are also associated with these genetic syndromes. Unfortunately, many individuals aren’t aware of their risk. FORCE educates and supports families as they learn and make decisions about their cancer risk, providing lifesaving information, resources, and support.
