NewStar Chinese Cultural Showcase

The Davis NewStar Chinese School will presenting a Chinese Culture Showcase as a fundraiser for Team Davis, a local non-profit organization established to help enrich the lives of children and adults with developmental, cognitive and/or physical disabilities living in or close to Davis, California. http://www.team-davis.org/start/About-Us/index.html. All proceeds go to Team Davis.

In this showcase, our school kids and adults will perform Chinese dances, orchestra and Chinese Kongfu. We also have support from many local famous Chinese performance groups. For example, we have Chinese zither performed by famous musician Chiffon Fu, http://www.davisenterprise.com/entertainment/music/chinese-zither-concert-planned-at-vets-theater/

Our professional teacher Davis An, Qiqi Li and Jane Zhang will play new Chinese folk music with Erhu, pipa  and piano. Also, our own Team Davis will perform” I Love Rock and Roll”.

Assemblywoman Mariko Yamada and Davis Mayor Joe Krovoza will be our MCs.

We would like to inviting you and your family to come to our show and enjoy an evening of Chinese culture and support our local Special Olympics team.
