I-80 Pursuit From Davis Ends With Crash, Foot Chase, 2 Arrests In Vacaville
BREAKING: The pair in a Mercedes with a loaded Glock, fled a traffic stop, CHP said. Area school briefly locked down.
SOLANO and YOLO COUNTIES, CA – Vacaville police and the California Highway Patrol detained two men in a Mercedes-Benz who allegedly fled a traffic stop by the California Highway Patrol around 1 p.m. in Davis in Yolo County this afternoon.
The Mercedes drove west on Interstate Highway 80 at speeds that reached 100 to 110 mph, Vacaville police Sgt. Jason Johnson said.
The chase ended when the dark blue Mercedes-Benz crashed into a fence and trees at Boyd and Laurel streets near the Davis Street off-ramp of Highway 80 in Vacaville, Johnson said. No injuries were reported during the
pursuit.

Both occupants of the vehicle fled the vehicle but were caught.
One ran toward Lovers Lane and Merchant Street near the Vacaville Police Department, and the other was caught in the 500 block of Merchant Street, Johnson said.

Witnesses identified the men as the occupants who fled the Mercedes-Benz, Johnson said.
The Kairos Public School Vacaville Academy at 129 Elm St. in Vacaville was "locked out" to prevent anyone from entering the campus during the search for the two men, Johnson said.
Paper license plates were affixed to the Mercedes regular metal license plates, but the car, registered outside the Bay Area, had not been reported stolen, Johnson said.
Yolo County CHP arrested the two men, identified as Raynell Dorrough, 20, and Marquaus Patrick, 21, Johnson said. Their place of residence is unknown, Johnson said.
A loaded Glock .45-caliber handgun was found in the Mercedes, Johnson said.
Dorrough faces charges of evading police, hit-and-run and possession of a weapon, Johnson said.
