Most Davis City Offices Closing for a Week

DAVIS, CA -- The City of Davis says that several of its offices will be closed or have altered hours during the winter holidays.

The following offices will be closed starting Friday, Dec. 23, 2016 through Monday, Jan. 2, 2017:

• City Hall, which includes the City Manager’s Office, Parks & Community Services, Finance, Community Development & Sustainability, and Public Works permit counter.
• Parks & Community Services Corporation Yard, at 1818 Fifth St.
• Fire Business Office, 1 Shields Ave., UC Davis.
• Public Works, 1717 Fifth St.
• Senior Center, 646 A St, will be closed from December 23 through January 2, however the Elderly Nutrition lunch program and Meals on Wheels will continue to operate on December 23, 27, 28, 29, and 30.
• Veterans Memorial Center will be closed with the exception of private rentals.

Additional information: Davis Community Transit will continue regular operation, and Parks and Public Works basic utility operations and emergency services will continue uninterrupted. However, the Police Department’s front counter/business office will be closed December 23, 26, 30, and January 1.

All other weekdays, the counter will maintain normal business hours of 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Public safety operations will continue as normal. In the case of an emergency, call 911 or (530) 758-3600 from a cell phone.

Utility bill and parking citation payments may be dropped into the designated drop box in the parking lot of City Hall. If you require assistance, e-mail financeweb@cityofdavis.org or call the Finance Department at (530) 757-5651 and leave a message. The city says messages will be answered promptly after the holidays.
