Scottish Association Hosting Annual 'Robert Burns Supper' in Davis
Celebrate the Scot spirit and the legendary poet at a ceremonial dinner!

Celebrate the spirit of Scotland and birthday of legendary 18th-century Scottish poet and songwriter Robert Burns at 6 p.m., Saturday, February 7, at the Yolo Masonic Lodge, 1655 Da Vinci Court, Davis.
Robert Burns Suppers have been part of Scottish culture for more than 200 years as a means of commemorating Scotland’s best-loved bard.
Burns is best remembered for his song, “Auld Lang Syne,” that is traditionally sung each New Year’s Eve.

Hosted by the Dixon Scottish Cultural Association, the Supper starts with a 6 p.m. no-host cocktail reception, followed by a 7 p.m.ceremonial dinner. The multi-course meal features a choice of grilled tri-tip beef or grilled chicken breast, as well as the traditional Scottish haggis.
The Supper will include live bagpiping and Scottish folk music, reciting of Robert Burns’ poems, Scotch whisky toasts, raffle prizes, men in kilts, and more.

Supper tickets are $40 per person, which can be purchased before January 25 by calling (916) 878-6189 or sending a check made payable to DSCA, Burns Supper, P.O. Box 561, Dixon, CA 95620.
Tickets will not be sold at the door.
