Homeowners Associations can at times prove to be troublesome. Their primary concern is property values and sometimes they misjudge solar completely. California is very clear about your rights to install solar on your property, in the long run HOA will always let you install solar.
Occasionally we have to give a presentation to the HOA and build a 3D model of your home to prove the panels are not hideous monstrosities sticking out every which way. If you ever need any help feel free to ask!
