UC Davis Spring Quarter Snapshot: Student-Athletes Stay Connected And Ready

With 25 Division I teams to oversee, Athletic Director Kevin Blue is far from relaxing on the couch during this atypical sports season.

Neither are the coaches — Blue said that even while student-athletes are away from campus during the pandemic, coaches are “holding team meetings on Zoom, [along with] team-building exercises.”

As for the student-athletes, they are, of course, keeping up with their studies while away.

Blue added: “Many of our student-athletes are working out remotely on a voluntary basis,” so they can be ready to compete when teams are able to take the fields, courses and courts again.
