West Davis Outage Not Related To PG&E Power Shutoff, City Says
Davis residents were not among 5,700 Yolo County customers affected by the public safety power shutoff.
DAVIS, CA — Officials with the city of Davis said a power outage Wednesday in West Davis was not related to PG&E's widespread public safety power outage that is impacting more than 500,000 in Northern California.
"In addition to the areas that PG&E has projected will be without power during this PSPS event, normal power outages will happen during high-wind events (even if PSPS isn’t in effect in your area)," city officials said.
However, more than 5,700 Yolo County customers in Winters, Esparto, Guinda, Capay, Brooks, Madison, Rumsey and West Sacramento did lose power early Wednesday morning as part of PG&E's fire-weather related shutoff.

PG&E has opened a community resource center for Yolo County residents affected by the planned shutoff. The center, which has charging stations for cellphones and other personal and medical electronic devices, is located at the PG&E Gas Academy at the intersection of E. Grant Avenue and Timber Crest Road in Winters.
As for the unrelated West Davis outage, PG&E's website indicated that as of 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, all service had been restored.
