• Legal Notices, September 4, 2026 (thecoastnews.com) — Several upcoming public hearings in and around Del Mar could shape local water rules, lagoon flood protection, and housing-related zoning. In Del Mar specifically, the Planning Commission will meet September 15 at Town Hall on a major San Dieguito Lagoon levee, habitat, and trail project, and on a development agreement for the La Atalaya subdivision, with new housing ordinances also moving toward adoption.
• Aztecs quarterback, running back know the way to a lineman's heart is through his stomach (fresnobee.com) — San Diego State quarterback Jayden Denegal and running back Lucky Sutton recently treated their starting offensive linemen to a lavish team-bonding dinner at Steak 48 Del Mar, running up a $1,100 tab on dry-aged steaks and sides. The Del Mar outing, just up the road from local neighborhoods, was their way of thanking the linemen they rely on before the Aztecs' season kicks off.
