“An Update on the Middle East”
Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 6:30 – 8:00 pm
The Men’s Club of Beth Israel of San Diego is proud to welcome Dr. Sanford Lakoff as our featured speaker at the June 17 Dinner Forum. Dr. Lakoff will provide us with a very timely update on the Middle East. This is an important subject we all should be interested in hearing first hand from one of the country’s leading political theorists on democracy about events taking place in this very strategic area of the world.
Dr. Lakoff is Edward A. Dickson professor emeritus of political science at UCSD. He earned his doctorate at Harvard, where he taught in the Department of Government. He is founding chair of the Department of Political Science at UCSD and is a distinguished scholar in political philosophy and science and public policy.
He has also has written or edited twelve books and published approximately 50 scholarly articles as well as contributing to entries in the Dictionary of the History of Ideas, the Encyclopedia of Democracy, the Encyclopedia of U.S. Foreign Relations, and the Encyclopedia of Nationalism.
This program is open to the entire San Diego community. A deli dinner will be served. The dinner fee: $15 with an RSVP, $18 without an RSVP. You may RSVP via the following link http://cbisd.org/event/mcforum-june/. If you wish to register via phone, contact us at 858-900-2598, or send us an email at cbimensclub@gmail.com.
