North Coast Aquatics Swimmers Shine at American Short Course Championships
North Coast Aquatics completed a very successful month of competition.
North Coast Aquatics completed a very successful month of competition by winning the San Diego Senior Classic hosted at San Diego State University.
North Coast scored over 1000 point to take the title against some of the top swimming clubs across California, Nevada and Arizona.
Head Coach Jeff Pease and Senior Assistant Coach Mickey Murad then took 17 of the top North Coast high school swimmers to Austin, Texas to compete in the American Short Course Championships. North Coast came away with several top eight performances against several premier clubs across the United States and several college teams as well.

Kelsey Kafka (a senior at Torrey Pines HS) was top performer for NCA with wins in the 100 breast, 200im and 400im.
Other outstanding performances were recorded by Andrew Brady (4th 500free, 5th 400im) Scott Clausen (6th 1650fr, 7th 500fr, 7th 400imi) Jason O'Brien (6th 500fr) Molly Barry (5th 16450fr, 7th 500fr) Ariel Jordan (7th 200ba) and Gretchen Horbol (200fl).

North Coast also recorded top 8 relay finishes in several of the relay events.
Head Coach Jeff Pease was quoted as saying; "this was one of our best club meets in several years and a great springboard for great swims later in the spring at the San Diego CIF Championships.
