Welcoming Chef Nate Appleman to San Diego

Chef Matt Gordon is ecstatic to have James Beard Award winning chef as well as a Food and Wine Magazine “Rising Star” Chef Chef Nate Appleman in his restaurant for a collaboration dinner to welcome Chef Appleman to San Diego, his new home. The special collaboration dinner will be on Thursday, October 9th at 6:30 pm at Sea & Smoke in Del Mar.

The Chefs will be working with a number of local artisan producers of both food and beverages to craft a menu that helps to introduce to Nate the bounty San Diego has to offer. These include Sonrise Ranch, Butcher’s Brewing Company, Malahat Spirits, Mikolich Honey, Eben Haezer Egg Ranch and much more! A portion of the proceeds from this dinner will be donated to the Kawasaki’s Disease Foundation, a cause near and dear to Chef Nate’s heart as the parent of child diagnosed with KD. Nate is the honorary Chef Chair for the annual KD foundation gala that takes place in San Diego each Autumn which Chef Matt Gordon has participated in each year as well.
