The North County Transit District (NCTD) released a public update July 21 regarding the agency's proposed fencing project, its engineering, and the view shed analysis underway, and anticipated timing for the public review process later this year.

The City of Del Mar remains committed to engage with the Coastal Commission and advocate with NCTD to ensure the review process includes opportunities for public input about NCTD’s proposal. The City will continue to advocate for safe public access and pedestrian crossings as the top priority to increase public safety.
