Concours d’Elegance Showcases World's Finest Cars in Del Mar

Classic and antique cars will fill the Del Mar Fairgrounds on Sunday Oct. 21.

Got a classic car or enjoy looking at them? Head to the Del Mar Fairgrounds Race Track Paddock on Oct. 21 for the annual Concours d’Elegance.

The real life car museum will be all about horsepower and speed featuring antique cars from all over the world. More than 100 cars will be on display and in the competition. 

According to the North County Times, here is a list of some of the rarest cars owned by local residents:

1938 Mercedes Benz 540K Special Roadster. Valued at around $15 million and also shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Owned by Karl Keller of Rancho Santa Fe.

1980 Rolls Royce Phantom IV Limousine. Only three exist and all are right-hand drive except for this one. Queen Elizabeth has one. Owned by Ken Smith of Rancho Santa Fe.

1947 Delahaye 175 S. 1 of 10. Owned by Paul Emple of Rancho Santa Fe.

1964 Ferrari 250 GT Lusso. Valued at $500,000 to $800,000. Owned by Alan and Wendy Hart of Del Mar.

1939 Lagonda V-12 Le Mans racer. Owned by Joe and Deborah Harding of San Diego.

The event will also include vendors and food.

To enter a classic car, the cost is $95 per entry including two admission tickets and parking. Admission tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
