Holiday Food Drive visit 300+ homes to Collect Donations for the North County Community Services Food Bank

RANCHO SANTA FE, CA- Over the weekend of November 16th, Ranch and Coast Insurance along with Real Eqiuty Advisors collected donations for the annual Holiday Food Drive within the Aviara, Arabella and Santa Rosa neighborhoods, benefitting the North County Community Services Food Bank.

Real Equity Advisors with Ranch and Coast Insurance employees teamed up to visit nearly 300 homes in the respective communities to drop off empty grocery bags to each homeowner. Giving the opportunity of a stay-at-home effort, the homeowners simply could have cleaned out their pantries or shopped for non-perishable items they were willing to donate. The volunteers were back on Sunday to collect filled bags on the doorsteps of the homes.

Joe Deutsch from Ranch and Coast Insurance drove in donations from the Aviara neighborhood. On his pick-up day, he reached a 32% return rate of filled bags, filling his car from front to back. In total, Ranch and Coast with Real Equity Advisors collected 91 bags of food from each of the homes.

Overall, homeowners were grateful and astonished by this concept of helping out without having to leave their doorstep. One homeowner from Blazing Star Ln. in the Santa Rosa neighborhood said, “We would have liked about a week’s notice- we would have gone to the grocery store and contributed more” as him and his wife filled up 2 bags of food from what they had at home.

The Holiday Food Drive will continue to collect non-perishable food donations at the REA/ Ranch and Coast office, located at 6119 La Granada Suite C until December 8th. Donations will be sent to the North County Community Services Food Bank which help to serve 18,000 individuals each month.
