Karl Marlantes, in conversation about veterans and war
Best-selling author, veteran and Rhodes scholar Karl Marlantes will speak at CSUMB on October 10th

War is a hard subject, but it is important for the public to understand what veterans are experiencing both in battle and when they return. As part of Cal Humanities War Comes Home project, Monterey Free Library and Cal Humanities present Karl Marlentes in conversation with Mary Menzel. Karl is a best-selling author of What it is Like to Go To War, and Matterhorn. Mary Menzel is Director of California Center for the book. They will discuss the veterans experience and how to bridge the military/civilian divide. Free and open to the public.
