The Sheriff's Department is inviting the public to visit its Crime Prevention booth at the San Diego County Fair at 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. starting June 8th through July 4th.
You can find the booth and talk to Sheriff's Crime Prevention Specialists and Senior Volunteers at the Infield San Diego Pavilion near Kiddieland.
The fair's theme this year is "Game On!" The Sheriff's Department booth features a giant board game about personal and home safety featuring various units, as well as stations and substations of the Sheriff's Department. Players get a free "slide puzzle" featuring the Sheriff's Department Star.
The Sheriff's Department also wants to remind fairgoers to celebrate responsibly and to designate a sober driver. Deputies will be patrolling the fair and surrounding communities to ensure fair attendees have a safe and enjoyable time.
