• Del Mar readies for flooding, erosion as El Niño builds (northcoastcurrent.com) — Del Mar is ramping up storm preparations now, clearing drains, staging sandbags, and coordinating with lifeguards and regional rescue teams ahead of a forecast very strong El Niño this fall and winter. City staff are targeting known flood-prone streets and bluff areas, and residents with proof of Del Mar residency can self-fill sandbags and are urged to secure properties and monitor official alerts.
