Del Mar City Council receives update on Shores Park master planning (sandiegouniontribune.com) — Del Mar's City Council is weighing how Shores Park should balance dog-park use with safety and access for Winston School students. After hearing sharply mixed public comments, council members agreed to continue the shared use for now but will closely monitor cleanliness, behavior, and adherence to time limits as the park's master plan moves forward.

Rotary Club of Del Mar-Solana Beach honors Susan Hennenfent with Governor's Recognition Award (sandiegouniontribune.com) — Del Mar residents active in Rotary will see a familiar face honored, as the Del Mar-Solana Beach Rotary Club has named Susan Hennenfent this year's Governor's Recognition Award recipient. 3. The Best Things to Do in San Diego: October 2026 (sandiegomagazine.com) — Del Mar residents can look forward to October's Wine & Food Festival Grand Tasting, packed with chef demos, wellness zones, games, and plenty of photo ops right by the ocean. From VIP early tastings to plant-based cooking, golf simulators, and beachy play areas, the event turns the Del Mar Polo Fields into an all-day playground for food, drinks, and music.
   

4. Coastal Christmas Wine Walk (feverup.com) — Wine lovers in Del Mar can look forward to a Coastal Christmas Wine Walk at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, featuring eight tastings and a million-light holiday trail. On select December nights, guests 21 and over can enjoy live entertainment, photo ops, and a souvenir tasting cup while strolling through the illuminated fairgrounds with friends or a date.
