Police Increasing DUI Enforcement Near Del Mar Races

Police are amping up DUI enforcement around the Del Mar racetrack for Opening Day on Wednesday.

"If you drive drunk, the AVOID Agencies will be looking for you," said San Diego Sheriff's Department Lt. Julius T. Faulkner in a statement. "If you're over the limit, you will be arrested."

The DUI enforcement team includes deputies from the San Diego Sheriff's Department and officers from Coronado, Chula Vista, Escondido, La Mesa, National City, San Diego, SDSU and UC San Diego.
