Preliminary Hearing Postponed for Man Accused of Murder in North County Gang Dispute
Torrey Michael Deangelis faces 77 years to life in prison if convicted.
A preliminary hearing set for today was postponed until July 29 for a probationer accused of gunning down an 18-year-old man in Oceanside during a gang dispute.
Torrey Michael Deangelis, 21, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the Nov. 15 death of Ozzy Maturano.
The gunfire erupted shortly after 6:30 p.m. during a confrontation between two groups of rival gang members along a stretch of train tracks near the 300 block of Neptune Way, Oceanside police Lt. Aaron Doyle said.

Passers-by found the the victim lying face down on a bike path suffering from a single gunshot wound. He died at the scene.
Deangelis, an Oceanside resident, is also charged with three counts of attempted murder, along with gang and gun allegations. He faces 77 years to life in prison if convicted.
