Road Work Scheduled on Via de la Valle

The city of Del Mar encourages residents and others who travel the area to take alternate routes Monday and Tuesday nights.

DEL MAR, CA: Traffic delays will occur Monday and Tuesday nights on a segment of Via de la Valle as crews work to install traffic, bicycle and pedestrian markings.

The work is scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday and again from 9 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday from the Jimmy Durante Boulevard intersection to Camino del Mar, according to an emailed notice from the city.

"Traffic will be subject to periodic delays," city officials stated in the notice. "Please follow the posted detour routes and observe all 'NO PARKING' signs."

Residents and cut-through traffic are encouraged to use alternate routes.
