Robber Strikes Near San Diego State Campus

Authorities are searching for the man who robbed a pedestrian late Tuesday.

For those of you who attend or know students who attend San Diego State University, campus police were on the lookout for two men who robbed a pedestrian near the school.

The robbery occurred in the area of Pontiac Street and Rockford Drive, southeast of campus, shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday, according to SDSU police.

One robber approached the victim from the front while the other approached from behind. They took the victim's backpack, cell phone and wallet, police said in a statement.

No weapon was seen and no one was injured, police said.

Police described both robbers as black, and said one was in his late 20s, around 6 feet 6 and last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black workout pants.
