On 11/19/2021, at approximately 2100 hours, deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff's Station Transit Enforcement Unit responded to a report of a pedestrian that was struck by a southbound Amtrak train in the city of San Diego. The pedestrian was fatally struck in the restricted area of the railroad track, near the Tecolote Road Station. Deputies are investigating the incident and manner of death will be determined by the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.
