San Diego County Sheriff's Department: Homicide Investigation – Imperial Beach

On December 4, 2021, at about 4:20 p.m., Sheriff's deputies responded to the 1300 block of Fern Avenue in the city of Imperial Beach for a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found a woman and a man who had been shot inside the residence. Unfortunately, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. The man was transported to a local area hospital in critical condition. He was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving at the hospital.

The suspect fled the scene prior to the deputies arriving.

The Sheriff's Homicide Unit responded and has assumed responsibility of the investigation.
