RideSafe is a new app available for android devices. It was created by a local Carmel Valley resident, Travis Niedosik. Your teenagers probably won’t like it. RideSafe runs quietly in the background until it determines the user is in a car. When it does, all phone capabilities are disabled until the user leaves the car, or emergency override is selected.

RideSafe detects when the user attempts to tamper with the software and notifies the parent. While no app can prevent the user from disabling or uninstalling it, RideSafe notifies the parent.
