Alex Morgan Signs with Seattle Sounders Women
The Diamond Bar native is also part of the U.S. Women's National team.

Diamond Bar High School alum and U.S. Women’s National Team standout Alex Morgan has signed with Seattle Sounders Women.
“Alex is a world class player who has proven herself well beyond her 22 years,” said Sounders Women General Manager Amy Carnell in a statement. “Her breakout World Cup performance sets the stage for what will be an exciting Sounders Women’s Season.”
The women’s soccer team was founded in 2001, and is a member of the United Soccer Leagues W-League. Morgan will join fellow U.S. National Team players Hope Solo and Sydney Leroux on the Sounders.

“I am excited to play in a city that is so passionate about soccer,” Morgan said in a statement. “The Sounders have been one of it not the best fan support in MLS. I can only imagine how Seattle fans would response to having a full professional women’s team in the future.”
