Armed Robbery Suspect Sought in Diamond Bar area Hold Up

Last night in La Habra, a suspect robbed a gas station getting away with an undisclosed amount of cash, after locking attendant in bathroom.

DIAMOND BAR, CA — A suspect was sought in a hold up that took place at a La Habra gas station on the morning of Aug. 31.

Police continued their search for a man who held up a La Habra Shell gas station at gunpoint.

The robbery was reported just after 10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31 at a Shell gas station in the 100 block of Imperial Highway, said La Habra police Sgt. Rob Diehl.

The robber, described as a man of between 40- to 50-years-old wearing sunglasses, walked into the gas station's store. The suspect then brandished a handgun, demanded money from the female clerk, took cash from the register the report said. The suspect then locked the clerk in the toilet before running away, Diehl said.

The clerk was not injured. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the store.
