Benjies NY Deli & Restaurant and Avenue K Bar is getting ready for its 50th anniversary celebration in October. Owner, Lloyd Weinstein said, “We will have a lot of surprises during the weekend with giveaways, opportunity drawings, dining specials and drink specials inside our newly remodeled bar, Avenue K, named as a tribute to the brownstone in Brooklyn where I grew up”.

“The anniversary weekend party is our way of saying thank-you—to so many Orange County customers,” said Weinstein. “It begins on Thursday, October 5, 2017 with a reception for civic, and community leaders, legislators and long-time patrons, restaurant writers and vendors. It continues with special events throughout the weekend- Friday, Saturday and Sunday during regular business hours, for the general public,” he noted.

And to start the celebration off; Monday – Friday, during the month of October, Benjies will sell their famous morning coffee for the pricing of $0.67 a cup with refills. And soda fountain drinks will also be $0.67. This price reflects the anniversary year of 1967.

Benjies NY Deli & Restaurant is Orange County’s iconic deli- where people always feel part of the family; welcomed by familiar faces—some of the staff have been there for over 40 years. The newly appointed Avenue K Bar brings millennial guests in to taste craft beers, specialty cocktails, happy hour apps and tasty food from the regular menu.

Benjies has been owned and operated by the Weinstein family since 1967. Stan Weinstein, the founder, brought his dream to life in 1967. His son, Lloyd Weinstein, along with his wife, Noriko, have continued Stan’s legacy since his passing in 2000.

Benjies offers a true New York style deli experience right here in Orange County. Known for their large portions and vast menu selections, there is always something for everyone. The traditional Reuben sandwich, soul warming Matzo Ball soup and authentic Jewish style desserts will make your mouth water.

Benjies is located at 1828 N. Tustin Ave. Santa Ana, CA (just north of 17th Street) and is open Monday – Thursday 8am to 9pm, Friday 8am to 10pm, Saturday 7am to 10pm and Sunday 7am to 9pm. Avenue K is open Monday – Friday from 11am to 10pm, Saturday 8:30am to 10:pm and Sunday 8:30am to 9pm.
