Bomb Threat Clears Walnut Mt. San Antonio College

A bomb threat on Wednesday morning cleared a Walnut Mt. San Antonio College science building for about an hour. Here's what happened.

WALNUT, CA — A bomb threat prompted evacuation of a science building for about an hour Wednesday at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.

Building 60, on the campus at 1100 N. Grand Ave., was evacuated about 9 a.m., according to the college website.

The message read: "Only Building 60 is evacuated. Business (is) continuing in other areas of the campus."

Deputies from the sheriff's Walnut Station were sent to investigate. Shortly before 10 a.m., the college announced that the building was safe to re-enter.
