Thursday was Diamond Bar Day at the L.A. County Fair, and featured a parade and salute to community heroes

Diamond Bar residents came out in droves for Diamond Bar Day at the L.A. County Fair Thursday.

Attendees who brought a new or slightly used book were admitted to the fair for free. At 5 p.m., a parade celebrating the cities of Diamond Bar and Montclair wound its way through the fairgrounds, and afterwards, community heroes Hoi Wong, Aggie Kee, and Rick Rogers were honored.

The fair continues through October 2.
