Coroner IDs Homeless Woman Found By Train Tracks

A homeless woman's body was discovered last week. Now, she has been identified.

POMONA, CA — A homeless woman's body was identified Wednesday, after being found last week near the railroad tracks in Pomona.

The woman's body was found about 1:45 p.m. Friday in the 3300 block of West Temple Avenue, according to Pomona Police Department Sgt. Brian Hagerty.

She was identified as Leslie Olivera, 37, the Los Angeles County coroner's office reported. No foul play was suspected in the death, police said.

Some people who know the woman said they hadn't seen her in a while and found her body when they went to look for her, according to Hagerty, who said some belongings and a pitched tent believed to be the woman's were found nearby.
