Diamond Bar Cheapest Gas Not Cheap Anymore

AAA says that gas prices have risen again across Orange County, Los Angeles County, San Gabriel Valley.

DIAMOND BAR, CA — Did you fill up the tank this weekend? If so, chances are you noticed a little more pain at the pump. Midway through May, gas prices have risen in San Gabriel Valley according to AAA.

Your best chance for cheaper fuel remains your area Costco, Sams Club or cash price gas stations according to GasBuddy.

On Monday, May 15 gas prices remain poised above $3 per gallon.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent Monday to $3.014, the third increase in four days after dropping to its lowest amount since Feb. 24.

The average price has risen 1.2 cents over the past four days, including four-tenths of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is a half-cent more than one week ago and 18.2 cents higher than one year ago but 2.8 cents less than one month ago.

This was the fifth consecutive increase since dropping to its lowest amount since Feb. 21. The Orange County average price has risen 1.9 cents over the past five days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Sunday. The cost of one gallon of regular, self-serve gasoline in your area was 1.4 cents more than one week ago and 20 cents higher than one year ago but 1.9 cents less than one month ago.
