Diamond Bar Day Camps, Gyms And Hotels Reopen

Los Angeles County has issued a modified Health Officer Order, effective today, that allows for the reopening of several more business sectors. Among these are day camps, gyms and fitness facilities, spectator-free professional sports, museums, and hotels and other lodging for leisure travel.

Along with the modified Order, the County has also issued strict sector-specific infection control directives that businesses must comply with prior to opening. In general, these directives require businesses to open with limited capacity and employ enhanced cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Also, both staff and visitors must practice physical distancing and wear cloth face coverings.

Because the threat of COVID-19 is still ongoing, Los Angeles County residents must continue to practice physical distancing, wear cloth face coverings and follow public health directives which include refraining from gathering with non-household members, except for faith-based services and in-person protests. Additionally, individuals 65 years old or older, or those with underlying health conditions should remain in their homes with the exception of seeking medical care, exercising or obtaining food or other necessities.

At this point the businesses that remain closed are nail salons, movie theaters, live performance theaters, entertainment centers, concert halls and venues. A complete list of what us open and closed within Los Angeles County is available on the LA County Roadmap to Recovery web page.

This modified Safer at Work and in the Community Health Order includes reopening protocols for all business sectors allowed to resume operations to date.
