Diamond Bar's Alex Morgan Scores 2 Goals Against New Zealand
The U.S. women's soccer team defeated New Zealand 2-1 Saturday in Dallas.

Two late goals from Diamond Bar’s Alex Morgan helped the U.S. women’s soccer team defeat New Zealand 2-1 on Saturday.
Morgan, a standout from Diamond Bar High School, tied the game in the 88th minute, and then scored again right before the end of the game.
“It was a great ending,” Morgan told the Associated Press. “I think that we really pushed to the end, to the final whistle. We didn’t want to come away with a loss, especially on home turf, so we definitely played it out to the end. Thank goodness we won.”
