Brush Fire Stalls Traffic On 60 Freeway In Diamond Bar
Diamond Bar traffic slowed to a crawl on Monday as firefighters battled a three-acre blaze.

DIAMOND BAR, CA — Los Angeles County fire crews have stopped the forward progress of a nearly 3-acre brush fire in the vicinity of the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway east of Diamond Bar Boulevard. The right two lanes of Westbound 60 were blocked due to emergency vehicles in the area.
The fire, which began shortly after 4:3o p.m. Monday, raced uphill toward homes, according to LA County Fire. Area firefighters went to work on the blaze while a helicopter made water drops from above. By 5 p.m. the blaze was being battled by a second helicopter.
