Fremont Femineers Featured in Project Lead The Way Documentary
The documentary follows the Pomona Unified students as they engage in hands-on STEM activities.
Project Lead The Way (PLTW), the nation’s leading provider of science, technology, engineering and math education, has released a “Go Girl!” documentary featuring Pomona Unified’s Fremont Femineers.
Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (Girl Day) is a national effort held each February to expose more young women to the exciting careers of engineering and STEM. During National Engineers Week, PLTW plays an active role in the event.
For the past two years, PLTW has released a video on Girl Day that both addresses the need to support girls’ and women’s STEM passions and highlights the achievement of those already championing the cause.

The Femineers was created in 2013 in partnership with Cal Poly Pomona’s College of Engineering and is guided by the belief that girls will thrive in STEM careers if they are given the opportunity. The group consists of 24 girls in grades 10 and 11 – the top students in their class.
The Fremont Academy of Engineering and Design is a grade seven to 12 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) school. For more information, visit www.edlinesites.net/pages/Fremont.
