Gas Prices Rise In Diamond Bar, Surrounding Areas

DIAMOND BAR, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today to its highest amount since Jan. 9,2016, increasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.044.

The average price is 5.7 cents more than one week ago, 19.8 cents higher than one month ago and 52 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price rose to its highest amount since Jan. 8,2016, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $3.053. It is 6.4 cents more than one week ago, 21.5 cents higher than one month ago and 54.5 cents greater than one year ago.

The increasing prices are caused by tight supply, stemming from both the annual refinery maintenance season and Southern California refineries supplying more gasoline to Mexico than in the past, Marie Montgomery of the Automobile Club of Southern California said.
