Man Shot While Walking in Pomona

The attack does not seem to be gang-related, police said.

One man was shot and wounded while walking on a street in Pomona, but the attack does not appear to be gang-related, a police lieutenant said Saturday.

The shooting took place at 9:20 p.m. in the 1100 block of South Thomas Street, near 12th Street, Pomona police Lt. Chuck Becker.

“An adult male was shot in the torso,” Becker said. “His wound was not life-threatening.”

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his gunshot wound, according to Becker.

Police, he said, have no suspect information but the shooting did not appear to be gang-related.
